Yesterday our CoutureCandy peops were sittin down by the river when
some fresh arrivals floated on by from Hudson Jeans. Duh, of course our little clothes ponies
jumped right in and snagged Spring's hottest styles for the rest us
fashion junkies to enjoy. Severe raccoon-eyes plagued the office
the rest of the day so take a peek at the hard-earned threads fresh
from the indigo house...
The essential high-waist denim short, the Scout, arrives in a deep-dark hue. Three buttons
and a subtle white stitch add the requisite sartorial touch while
pert pleats lend a forgiving silhouette that flares out past the
thigh, making seemingly tiny shorts the latest must-do.
The Appeal Crop Pant is our new favorite leggings
alternative; the super stretchy spandex/cotton blend feels more
like a comfy pant than a pair of jeans. Cropped just below the
knee, skinny jean addicts have a new vice for summer. Speaking of
the slender set, try out Hudson's version in a lightweight Poplin fabric. Looks just like your
favorite skinny but keeps its cool all year long, plus they're
ridiculously slimming.
For the intrepid denim crowd comes a faded skinny pant Lisa Turtle would kill for. The acid
wash is a bit more toned down this time around and in a fabulous
fit--perfect for skipping out on detention and hitting The Max.
Flares are making their extreme comeback with a super high waist
(10" rise) and generous volume. While Baby-boomers suffer PTSD
flashbacks of skin-tight Jordaches' and pliers, thanks be to
technology for the forgivable stretch that actually makes the new
Sentiment Hi-Fi totally comfortable. Boomers can opt
for a less intense version in the Deluxe Wide Leg Pant and look polished for a lunch
date or wild night out (we know how you roll). |
