Ok, so dark shades + summer normally = a hot recipe for disaster,
but just because your going to the Darkside
doesn't mean you have to go all black.
Taking a step towards AW08's darkly romantic
collections, Darkside mixes ethereal
layers in barely-there shades with ghostly
prints for a gothic effect. Not a look for hitting the
beach, Darkside is that going-out/summer party
collection we've all been waiting for.
To get the look team a lightweight detailed vest
and layered chiffon fluff skirt with a tailored
jacket. The painterly print and raw edges give the look its gothic
edge while the modern shrink-to-fit tux jacket
cleverly offsets the ruffled layers. A pair of fringe
platforms in jet-black completes the look.

Talking of whimsical layers, we've fallen for the latest
collection of delicate silk dresses from the
lovely ladies at Boutique. In Darkside shades of
taupe, metallic and raspberry highlights, they tick all the right
boxes for the perfect summer party dress.
